I look forward to hearing from you!

Career Plan

My career plan is to become an Athletic Director at the collegiate or high school level, but to be more specific I am going to break it down into a one, five, and ten year plan. In a year from now I hope to be employed at a collegiate institution working in either external/internal operations, compliance or fundraising. I would accept any other position available as well because I have an interest in every aspect of

college athletics. I am also open with moving to whatever state or

country to land that perfect job.

Between my one and five year plan I hope to further my

education and receive a master's degree in athletic administration

or an area that I or the organization I work for feels I would flourish in.

If I do decide that athletic administration is the best option for a

master's I hope that I have the option to attend the University of

North Carolina, but if I do have a job I will take classes when i can at a

reputable institutions close to the organization I work for.

Five years after I graduate I hope to be with the same institution

that originally hired me out of college. I feel loyalty shows your commitment and a level of respect for that organization. At this point in my career I want to have worked in multiple departments or have experience with more than one area. That way I can make myself more marketable and valuable. On top of that I hope to have a master's degree, so that I can move up in the organization and put myself in a position to become an Assistant Director, Manager, or Coordinator in one of the various departments at the College or University.

Ten years after I graduate to have the experience and knowledge of college athletics to become next inline for a Assistant or Associate Athletic Directors position. At this point I hope to have sharpened my skills in operations, compliance and fundraising. I believe that those are three very important areas in college athletics. Between graduating and ten years down the road, my goal is to have worked approximately three years in operations, three years in compliance, and three years in fundraising.

My absolute goal is to become the youngest Athletic Director at the Division I, II or III level. With this being my goal, I believe I will give 110% day in and day out. If their was one thing that has gotten me where i am today is my determination and work ethic. No successful person made it to where they are by playing it safe. I am ready to take risks and do whatever I am asked to reach my goal.
